Sauna Queries
How long should I spend in the sauna?
The optimal time to spend in a sauna can vary based on individual preferences and tolerance, but here are some general guidelines:
- Beginners: If you are new to using a sauna, start with shorter sessions of about 5-10 minutes. Gradually increase the time as your body becomes more accustomed to the heat.
- Regular Users: For those who use the sauna regularly, sessions of 15-20 minutes are typically sufficient to enjoy the benefits. Some experienced users may extend their sessions up to 30 minutes, but it's important to listen to your body and avoid overstaying.
- Multiple Sessions: Instead of a single long session, you can also break your sauna time into multiple shorter sessions with cooling-off periods in between. This can enhance the benefits while reducing the risk of overheating.
Is using a sauna better BEFORE or AFTER a workout?
Using a sauna can be beneficial both before and after a workout, depending on your personal goals. Spending a short time in the sauna before your workout can help to warm up your muscles. Many people prefer using the sauna after their workout to help relax and promote recovery.
How long will it take to pre-heat the sauna?
The pre-heating time for our saunas can vary depending on the model and other factors:
- Red Fit Room/iGym 45-60: Typically, it takes around 60-90 minutes to reach a temperature of 150°F.
- Red Fit Pro 5/10: These units generally take about 30-45 minutes to reach their maximum heat, but can be ready within 10 - 15 minutes at 120º.
Please note that the actual pre-heating time can also depend on the room where the units are installed and the voltage they are receiving. Ensure your sauna is set up in an optimal environment to achieve the best performance.
Are there any special instructions for using the sauna the first time?
After installation, and provided everything is in working order, there are no additional steps required to use the sauna for the first time. You can start using your sauna right away!
What kind of accessories should I consider for my sauna?

How is my sauna ventilated?
The ventilation system in your sauna is designed to ensure optimal air circulation and comfort:
- Red Fit Pro 5/10: This model features ventilation at the top of the sauna, which helps to maintain a consistent temperature and allows for effective heat distribution.
- Red Fit Room/iGym: This model is equipped with fans at both the top and bottom of the sauna.
What electrical requirements do I need for your saunas?
To ensure proper operation of your sauna, please make sure you have the following electrical requirements in place:
Red Fit Room/iGym: Requires 2 dedicated 220v 20-amp circuits. These circuits should be installed specifically for the sauna to ensure optimal performance and safety.
1-2 Person Pro Series: Requires a 120v 20-amp circuit. This is suitable for smaller models designed for one to two people.
3-4 Person Pro Series: Requires a 220v 20-amp circuit. This is necessary for larger models accommodating three to four people.
Are children allowed to use the sauna?
We recommend that children avoid using the sauna, as their bodies are more sensitive to heat and they may be at a higher risk of overheating. If a child does use the sauna, it should be under close adult supervision, and the session should be kept brief with a lower temperature setting. Always consult with a healthcare professional before allowing children to use the sauna to ensure it is safe for their individual health conditions.

Care & Maintenance
How much maintenance does the sauna require?
The maintenance of your sauna is generally straightforward and involves regular cleaning:
Cleaning: We recommend cleaning the sauna after each session to maintain hygiene and prolong the life of your sauna. This involves wiping down surfaces, removing any sweat residue, and ensuring the sauna is dry.
Frequency: The frequency of cleaning is ultimately up to the owner and may depend on how often the sauna is used. Regular users might find it beneficial to perform a quick clean after each use, while occasional users may clean less frequently.
Proper maintenance helps keep your sauna in top condition and ensures a pleasant experience each time you use it.
